Hello, today I'm going to write about my experience using blogs in the English class. I think that experience it has been very useful. It allows me to elaborate better my ideas and to express myself more precisely and properly in english. I think that, although not as much as I may want it, my skills improved a lot, because of how much practice I had. I notice it in that every blog that I wrote it took me less and less time to do it. I even learned different definitions for the words that i knew. In the future I would like to be able to talk more about aspects of my career, and improve my reading, for most of the texts of musicology are in English. Hi, Are you currently fulfilling your dream? Today I´m going to write about a picture really special for me. This photo was taken when I was singing for the first time whit Murga Zamba y Canuta, in 2012. This moment was very important in my life because I dared to sing for the first time before a lot of people. Probably, this has been one of the happiest days of my life. On this occasion, we released our first original work called “The beginning of times”, and my closest friends and relatives came to see it and gived us their support. This moment was very important for my life because I had the opportunity to confirm that singing in a Murga chorus-theatrical is really what I want to do, it is my dream and what makes me happiest in the world. Since I started singing with Murga Zamba y Canuta, I feel like getting up every day for to learn more and enjoy life. I hope you can do what you love too! Regards.
My musical Project My current musical project is Murga Zamba y Canuta, this is a choral and theatrical group who does humorous works of social criticism. This group is conformed only by women, and makes a genre that has been developed historically only by men. It is based on the genre of the Uruguayan murga, typical of Montevideo. Now, we are mounting our second original work, called “Made in Chile”. It is about developing a work that unites the legacy of the Uruguayan murga, with the wealth of the Chilean popular arts, recovering aspects of our national identity, in order to make a criticism that leads the spectator to reflect on the good and bad things of being Chilean. I have been working for 6 years in this group, singing in the two works that we created called "the beginning of times" and "made in Chile", and also I am part of the cultural management team. My Favorite Piece of Technology Hi! Today I´m going to tell you about my favorite piece of technology, and I will write about the technological objects which are indispensable for my daily life. The piece of technology that I love is my cellphone, because I can check social networks, surf the internet, play some games, listen my favorite music, and study with different applications such as metronome and different ear trainers. I like this because I am communicated with my family and friends, which is very important when they live in another city. Also I relax and learn new things. Other important accessories for me are my laptop, my tuner and my musical instruments which I always need to study, and the technological objects of the home because make my daily life easier. Well, this semester I’m studying musical language, piano, guitar, vocal workshop, and others subjects like “music, culture and society”. I’m really happy this term, because I’m studying my second year in this degree, and It`s easier and fun than the first year. Now, I expect to approve all my subjects and enjoy studying. Therefore, I want to study every day a little for each subject, especially for musical language and piano which are very difficult. Also, I hope to organize my time well in order to have good results in my activities. Currently, after classes I’m going to rehearse with my group from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
